We fished it first.

Prototypes, tuned and re-tuned, in front of real fish. The GLYDE you buy is the one that survived that.

The numbers

Built to a spec. Tuned to a mood.

Everything above is fixed. Everything below is yours to change.

The spec

  • 8" body
  • 3 oz
  • Wire-through head, 250# stainless hardware
  • BKK Viper 1/0 treble hooks
  • Extra-tough replaceable silicone tail
  • 400# rated swiveling hook hangers
  • Pocket pack for storage and transport

Comes saltwater-ready with BKK Viper 1/0 trebles. For freshwater, swap to lighter-gauge hooks and split rings to slow the sink rate.

The tune

  1. Step one

Using pliers, firmly grasp the pin at the joint and wiggle it out of there.

  2. Step two

Screw each eyebolt in half a turn at a time, or back it out the same way.

  3. Step three

Drop the pin back in, cast it, and read the walk. Half a turn either way changes the width.

Pro tip

Count your half turns

Eyebolts in gives long sweeping glides; eyebolts out gives a tighter walk

Eyebolts in

Longer glides and hang time.

Eyebolts out

Tighter chops, or a tighter straight weave.

05 Common questions

Questions we get about the GLYDE.

If yours is not here, call or text us and we will answer it.

Does the GLYDE come ready to fish?

Yes. Every GLYDE ships rigged with BKK Viper 1/0 trebles and already dialed in for chop, glide and swim. The eyebolts are there for when you want something different, not because the bait needs fixing.

What does turning the eyebolts actually change?

How far apart the two halves sit. Screwed in, they sit further apart and the bait glides wide with hang time between turns. Backed out, they sit closer and it walks tight and quick. The joint never locks solid, which is what keeps the bait alive on the pause.

Can I get it back to the way it arrived?

Count your half turns on the way out and reverse them on the way back.

Can I fish it in freshwater?

It comes saltwater-ready, where the resin body sinks slowly on the pause. In freshwater the same bait sinks faster, so lighter-gauge hooks and split rings bring the sink rate back down.

What rod does it want?

Three ounces on an eight-inch body needs a rod with enough tip to move the bait and enough backbone to drive a treble home. The Revolution Inshore 8'0" casting rod, rated 20–40 lb, does both.

Is the tail replaceable?

Yes. The tail is extra-tough silicone and comes off the bait without tearing.
