SHRYMP FAQ
Got questions? We've got answers
Match the forage in the water. The 2.5" finesses pressured trout, pompano, and smaller redfish on shallow flats. The 3.5" is the everyday all-around — snook, redfish, sea trout. Step up to the 4.5" when you want a bigger profile for tarpon, big snook, or dropping over reefs and wrecks for snapper and grouper.
We recommend JYG Ball Jig Heads — they give the SHRYMP the proper sink rate and natural tail-down posture. Start with 3/16 oz on the 2.5", and 3/4 oz on the 3.5" for most inshore work. Step heavier in deeper water or stronger current. You can also fish it weedless on a worm hook around grass and structure.
The SHRYMP was built for inshore saltwater species — snook, tarpon, redfish, sea trout, pompano, and Spanish mackerel. The 4.5" doubles as a deeper-water option for snapper and grouper over reefs and wrecks. Its profile also doubles as a crayfish imitator for largemouth bass and other freshwater predators.
Cast and let it sink — the weighted body falls tail-down like a real shrimp, and most strikes happen on the drop. From there, work it with short twitches of the rod tip and a slow drag along the bottom. Around grass or structure, rig weedless and hop it slowly through the cover.
Yes. The SHRYMP is built for saltwater inshore work, but its profile reads as a crayfish in freshwater — making it effective for largemouth bass, smallmouth, and other ambush predators. The premium soft plastic and high-pressure injection molding hold up to repeated strikes in either environment.
Twelve colors covering every water clarity and light condition: Electric Chicken, Pearl, Brown Sugar, Pink, Glow, Limeade, Highlighter Pearl, New Penny, Chicken Pox, Clear, Krypto, and Krypto Blue. Glow and Highlighter Pearl shine in low light and stained water; New Penny and Brown Sugar match natural shrimp tones on clear flats.
