The Royal Slam Stand-Up 6'0" 50-80 is a conventional rod for stand-up fighting and trolling in the 50–80 lb class. At 6'0", it is the shortest length in the Royal Slam stand-up line, which puts leverage on the angler's side when fighting from a harness.
The rod runs Fuji guides and EVA grips, with a choice of a Fuji Ring Top or a Winthrop Roller Top, which turns with the line to reduce friction and wear under heavy drag. The top section joins the butt through a Winthrop #2 ferrule and pairs with a Winthrop Epic #2 butt, a Winthrop Terminator #2 butt, or a Long Curved #2 aluminum butt. The curved butt lowers the rod angle, keeping the tip closer to the water during a stand-up fight. A nylon slick butt with a Fuji reel seat is also offered, and the top section is available on its own for anglers already running a #2 butt.
