ROYAL SLAM DEEP DROP STAND UP 6FT 4IN 50-80LB
The Royal Slam 6'4" Deep Drop Stand-Up 50-80 is a conventional rod for stand-up fighting, deep dropping, and planer trolling in the 50–80 lb class. The 6'4" length keeps leverage on the angler's side when lifting heavy leads and fish from depth, and the power of the 50–80 lb class makes it well suited to Gulf swordfishing.
The rod runs Fuji guides and EVA grips, with a choice of a Fuji Ring Top or a Winthrop Roller Top, which turns with the line to reduce friction and wear under heavy drag. For planer trolling, the Winthrop Roller Top configuration pulls up to a size 6 planer.
Butt options
- Epic Butt #2 — Fluted straight butt for a standard size #2 ferrule. Adjustable hoods and ferrule nut from the Terminator Adjusta-Butt.
- Terminator #2 — Adjustable butt that can be set straight or bent at the press of a button, without taking the rod out of the gimbal: straight while a fish runs away from the boat, bent once the fight turns vertical and the fish has to be lifted. Adjustable machined hood with a small and a large mouth, for 30–80 lb class reels.
